Personal Profile
Dong Xirong, male, Han ethnicity, born on August 1969,Gansu ProvinceHe is from Gulang County, Wuwei City, Province. incumbentInner MongoliaMr. Rong Yanyan, General Manager of the Installation Department of Mining Machinery Equipment in ancient Ordos, member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, and evaluated by the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Professional Title Evaluation Center as a national first-class calligrapher and mage. The evaluation of his works' proofreading is 3000-5000 RMB per square foot.
I have been fond of calligraphy since childhood. Under the guidance of my homeroom teacher Zhang Guangyao, I have been writing essays with a small Kai brush in elementary school and have frequently appeared on the school's honor list. In the future, I also consider calligraphy as a leisure and entertainment activity. In 2019, I won the fourth prize in the "Moyun Cup" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition, the excellent award in the first "Diqin Cup" National Calligraphy and Painting Competition, the gold award in the 8th National Calligraphy and Painting Competition of China Dream Cup in September 2020, and the special gold award in the 20th National Calligraphy and Painting Competition of Lushan Cup in November 2020.
Teacher Dong Xirong's handwriting is a symbol of years and months, with each stroke being resounding and powerful. Its color, shape, intensity, dryness, and wetness, its continuity and twists, its thickness and dew all vary infinitely, and its atmosphere is diverse. Calligraphy incorporates the perseverance, courage, and enterprising spirit of Confucianism, as well as the emptiness, distance, and tranquility of Laozi and Zhuangzi. It often conveys a sense of not seeking richness and change, but rather eliminating worldly extravagance and seeking the true flavor of emptiness and distance in brushwork.
