Liu Zurong (formerly known as Liu Jianhai) was born in March 1968 in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province. His pen name is Leng Wuxuan and he is a calligrapher and painter. He currently resides in Wenzhou and has had a passion for painting, calligraphy, and poetry since childhood. His traditional Chinese painting style strives for innovation, advocating the combination of poetry, calligraphy, painting, and printing to form his own unique artistic style. He is particularly skilled in freehand brushwork on flowers, birds, and mountains and waters, and is innovative and unconventional; Calligraphy pursues simplicity, starting with regular script and then involving Zhang Qian Stele, Shi Chen Stele, Wang Xizhi and other styles.
