In 2011, he was awarded the title of Outstanding Artist of the People's Republic of China. In 2012, his works were included in the "New China Artists Grand Ceremony". In the early 1970s, engaged in the study of calligraphy and painting art history. From the early 1980s to the late 1990s, representative works of ink wash freehand painting of flowers and birds include plum, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum (Four Gentlemen), skilled in pine, bamboo, and plum (Three Friends Painting), skilled in wind, snow, and bamboo, ink wash freehand painting of mountains and waters, and calligraphy mainly in regular script and cursive script. In the late 1990s, art creation was dominated by black ink calligraphy and painting. Pioneering the field of Xuan Mo art and culture (with Taoist and Buddhist ideas as the creative purpose). In 1996, he wrote the book "A Brief Discussion on the History of Chinese and Western Art" and later won awards such as the Chinese Art Golden Statue Award. I have been engaged in the creation of Xuanmo calligraphy and painting for many years based on the theory of ancient Chinese Taoism, and have published multiple theoretical papers on the new techniques of Xuanmo culture. I have also been engaged in the appreciation of antique calligraphy and painting for many years. I believe that Chinese calligraphy and painting should inherit tradition and strive for innovation.
